12:34 pm - Well howdy ho
|
Hey guys hows it going? Who is all around this place anymore? Its definately been a long long time. Its been quite the crazy past couple years, especially the last year in general. I have a baby now, Im clean and sober, working in Pennsylvania at a boarding school for troubled teens, as lead staff support. Well I dont really have time to go on and on at the moment, but it would be nice to get back to journaling, and meeting new peoples. My daughter is quite nifty, and you can see her at http://sd.divide-by-0.com/baby.htm
Leave me a comment and let me know that you still exist and all that good stuff!

Oh all the things I could post, this is probably the most important:
"Hi,
Americans continue to pay a terrible price for the Iraq war. Long after President Bush donned a flight suit and declared an end to "major hostilities," we still lose troops almost every day -- nearly 1,700 so far. Now, a British government memo all but confirms a sickening truth: that the Bush administration was determined to go to war all along -- even if it had to fix the facts to convince the American people.
Most of our press won't push the White House about the Downing Street Memo -- but we can’t let the contents of this document fade away. Together, we have the power to spread the word about the deceptions that led to war. Join me in pledging to make sure that America gets the memo:

After the war, Bush apologists in the White House and Congress blamed everyone but themselves for unspecified 'intelligence failures.' Yet the Downing Street Memo -- the actual minutes of a briefing by the British intelligence chief to British Prime Minister Tony Blair -- makes clear that the White House wanted war, no matter how the intelligence had to be twisted to get us there.
"Bush wanted," according to the British intelligence chief -- fresh back from a trip to the White House -- "to remove Saddam, through military action, justified by the conjunction of terrorism and [weapons of mass destruction]. But the intelligence and facts," the memo continued, "were being fixed around the policy."
Americans need to know the truth -- but that can only happen if we tell them. So learn how you can spread the word:

Thank you."
Oh yeah, Hi. Hows it going peoples?

NY Times: WASHINGTON, Sept. 3, 1967-- United States officials were surprised and heartened today at the size of turnout in South Vietnam's presidential election despite a Vietcong terrorist campaign to disrupt the voting. According to reports from Saigon, 83 per cent of the 5.85 million registered voters cast their ballots yesterday. Many of them risked reprisals threatened by the Vietcong.

PAULSBORO, N.J. - The Coast Guard said Tuesday that investigators believe much more oil spilled from a ruptured tanker in the Delaware River near Philadelphia than the 30,000 gallons initially reported.
Coast Guard Lt. Buddy Dye said 473,500 gallons from the tanker Athos I are unaccounted for.
Well thats a big difference

"What do our opponents mean when they apply to us the label "Liberal?" If by "Liberal" they mean, as they want people to believe, someone who is soft in his policies abroad, who is against local government, and who is unconcerned with the taxpayer's dollar, then the record of this party and its members demonstrate that we are not that kind of "Liberal."
But if by a "Liberal" they mean someone who looks ahead and not behind, someone who welcomes new ideas without rigid reactions, someone who cares about the welfare of the people -- their health, their housing, their schools, their jobs, their civil rights, and their civil liberties -- someone who believes we can break through the stalemate and suspicions that grip us in our policies abroad, if that is what they mean by a "Liberal," then I'm proud to say I'm a "Liberal."
-- John F. Kennedy, 35th President of the United States of America

lol, Random and Astro should enjoy this:
John Harvey & Associates. Solicitors & Advocates.
Dear Woolley,
I am Mr. John Harvey , a Lawyer by profession. I am the personal attorney to Mr. Charles Woolley who worked for the Chevron Oil Exploration Company in Nigeria, herein after shall be referred to as my client. On the 21st of April 2000, my client, his wife and their three children were involved in a car accident along Lagos - Ibadan express road. All occupants of the vehicle unfortunately lost there lives. Since then I have made several enquiries to your embassy to locate any of my clients extended relatives. This has proved unsuccessful. I came to know about you through an enquiry I was making in the internet, and i found out that you have the same second name with my client, which is why I have decided to contact you, in order to assist in repatriating the money and property left behind by my client before they get confiscated or declared unserviceable by the bank. Particularly, the Nortech Finance Company where the deceased had an account valued at about US$ 19.5 Million Dollars, has issued me a notice to provide the next of kin or have the account confisticated within the next 21 official working days. Since i have been unsuccessful in locating the relatives for over 2 years now I seek your consent to present you as the next of kin of the deceased since you have the same last name so that the proceeds of this account valued at US$19.5 Million Dollars can be paid to you and then you and me can share the money, on the ratio of 70% for me, and 30% for you. I have all necessary legal documents that can be used to back up any claim we may make. All I require is your honest co-operation to enable us see this business through. I guarantee that this will be executed under a legitimate arrangement that will protect you from any breach of the law. Please get in touch with me by email and send to me your telephone and fax numbers to enable us discuss further about the details of this transaction. Best regards, Mr John Harvey Principal Partner John Harvey & Associates.
